The NGO, founded in 1999 in Bagewadi village, Bijapur district, has been actively working in the rural areas of Bijapur and Bagalkote, focusing on women’s empowerment and literacy. It has established 250 SHGs, offering embroidery and tailoring training to women. Special three-month training is provided to SC-ST women, and free sewing machines are distributed through government schemes. The NGO supports income generation activities such as cattle rearing and candle making, and facilitates NABARD loans for women-led ventures like Khanavalis, hosiery shops, and provision stores. It also promotes organic manure awareness. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the NGO distributed 1000 N95 masks, 100 food kits (5kg packages), and 200 sanitizers to police, government staff, ASHA workers, and Anganwadi workers.
